Textile Design and Illustration
My artwork has been produced on a range of products including: pajamas, slippers, sweaters, medical scrubs, dresses, t-shirts, Kleenex boxes, quilts, sheets, rugs, backpacks, toys, gift wrap, greeting cards, stationery, doormats, dishes and candlestick holders.
Earlier in my career I painted my artwork by hand. Now I use a combination of drawing and painting on paper and in Adobe Fresco, and creating and manipulating my images in Photoshop and Illustrator.
I have been a Freelance Textile Designer and Illustrator since 1997, creating original artwork for the apparel, gift and home furnishings industries. My designs have been sold to and used by manufacturers throughout the world. I am represented by Group Four Design Studio in Hillsdale, New York.
In addition to my work with Group Four, I have done contract work for Papyrus, Peaceable Kingdom, Pottery Barn and Gap, among others.
From 1987 to 1997 I worked as an assistant and artist for X-Ray Design Studio, and as an in-house textile and product designer for Unionbay, Eddie Bauer Home and Nordstrom Point of View.
I graduated from the University of Washington in 1988 with a BFA in Fiber Arts.
I am originally from Seattle, Washington. I currently live in Dallas, Texas.
